2.6 magnitude earthquake hits Cushing

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 2.6 magnitude earthquake was reported by the seismic station in the Wichita Mountains at 2:27 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21. The USGS has the epicenter of the quake 1.6 miles south of Cushing, with a depth of 4.3 miles.

City extends Hillcrest lease to 2030

The City of Cushing and Hillcrest HealthCare System have executed an extension of the current lease at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing until Jan. 31, 2030. This agreement will keep Hillcrest Cushing as one of the major health care providers in the area.
