This past weekend, the staff of Cimarron Valley Communications (CVC) attended the Oklahoma Press Association’s annual convention held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. The OPA convention played host to the staffs of dozens of newspapers from across the state.

Primary Election Deadlines Approaching

Deadline to register to vote or update your registration for the June 28 Primary is quickly approaching, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board. Voter registration applications and updates must be received or postmarked no later than Friday, June 3.

New locations for Drumright City Hall and Police Department

After several months of work the Drumright City Hall moved into the former CBEW building at 424 East Broadway just before the end of May. Drumright Police Department relocated to the former city hall building.

Carney Police Chief Arrested, Charged with DUI

Last Friday, Jacob O’Donnell, the police chief in Carney, Oklahoma, was arrested and charged with driving under the infl uence of alcohol and transporting an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle by Officer David Smith of the Cushing Police Department.
