Oklahoma Statewide Poultry Ban Lifted

On Tuesday, May 31, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry lifted the statewide ban on poultry exhibitions, public sales and swap meet bans. May 31st marks 30 days since the last confirmed case of HPAI in Oklahoma.

Fire and Police Department Training Tower update

The training tower for the police and fire department construction is unable to begin until the materials, which were originally set to be transported in May, is delivered. The material has yet to be delivered according to Fire Chief Derek Griffith.

Renewal for Yale Fire Department Approved

During the regular meeting of the Payne County commission on Friday, May 27 a renewal for a lease-purchase agreement between American Heritage Bank and the Yale Fire Department was approved by commissioners.

Cushing Soccer Camp, Seniors Crucial for Growth

Starting out her coaching career at Cushing a decade ago, Amber Delong helped take nine girls to a soccer tournament, a number that did not even reach the required amount to have a full team of 11.

Intersection of Little and SH33 halfway complete

After months of work and years of discussion the first results of the SH33 project are being seen with the completion of the North side of the SH33 and Little Avenue intersection at the end of last week. The construction portion of this project finally began on January 3, 2022.
