Fire destroys Cushing home

A house fire located at 902 East Maple in Cushing started at about 9:16 a.m. on Monday, April 18, according to Cushing Fire Captain Jeremy Willman. Cushing Fire Department members were dispatched within two minutes and on scene within four.

Special Recognitions at the Capitol

On Tuesday, I had the incredible honor of introducing a World War II veteran, Burton Richard Coate, on the House fl oor. Sgt. Coate, who today lives in Perkins, enlisted in the Army Air Corps when he was 18 and entered World War II in July 1943.

Yale Police Chief Phillip Kelly said Yale Police dispatch received a 911 call and learned of a domestic assault in progress Wednesday morning. Yale police chief, Phillip Kelly said that Johnny Higgins, 67, had been reportedly dragging a woman by her hair.
