Weather affects road projects

Oklahoma Department of Transportation representatives have stated road projects already had a late start following COVID-19 complications and now county road workers have been forced to delay several projects due to unpredictable weather cycles of heavy rain and powerful wind.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health has identified its first probable case of monkeypox and is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to confirm the infection in a central Oklahoma resident with recent international travel to a country with confirmed cases.

This past weekend, the staff of Cimarron Valley Communications (CVC) attended the Oklahoma Press Association’s annual convention held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. The OPA convention played host to the staffs of dozens of newspapers from across the state.

Deadline to register to vote or update your registration for the June 28 Primary is quickly approaching, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board. Voter registration applications and updates must be received or postmarked no later than Friday, June 3.
