The following individuals were arrested by the Cushing Police Department between Nov. 1 and Nov. 10. Individuals named are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Possible Broadband Expansion for Indian Electric

A representative from Indian Electric Cooperative recently presented to the Creek County commissioners. According to Creek County District 2 Commissioner Leon Warner, the representative presented the possibility of IEC expanding into broadband with American Recovery Plan Act funds.

Where there’s smoke…

Just after 1 p.m. Monday, a 911 call was received at the Cushing Public Safety Center reporting a structure fi re on the 700 block of Highland, just south of the intersection with Greenlee. According to Dalton Novotny with the Cushing Fire Department, the call came in at 1:10 p.m.

Cushing American Legion Post 108 hosted a road sign dedication for Terry Hoggatt, appropriately on Nov. 11, Veteran’s Day. A section of Highway 18 was dedicated to Terry thanks to a number of friends and government offi cials.
