Cushing’s Caden Kennedy, a sophomore at Cushing High School, has been selected to play the drum kit in the Cimarron Valley Honor Jazz Band. Kennedy demonstrated several styles and grooves, from funk to swing and some ad-lib drumming to gain the seat (throne) at the drum kit.

Churches donate through Wings of Hope

A group of churches came together and made a donation of over $1,000 worth of items to be off ered by the Cushing Wings of Hope Family Crisis Center.

Commission denies mobile home request

During the monthly meeting of the City of Cushing Board of Commissioners held Monday, Nov. 15, several routine items were discussed and general business issues were denied. A request for a conditional use permit for the purpose of placing a mobile home at 322 West Pine was denied.

Cushing Lumber Giving Program
