Steel Beam Transfer saves Payne County thousands

Payne County will be able to save thousands on upcoming projects due to the approval of an Oklahoma Department of Transportation transfer form. During the Oct. 4 regular meeting of the Payne County commissioners an ODOT transfer form for steel beams was presented and approved.

9th Street closed temporarily Thursday

On Thursday, Oct. 7th, between 8 am and 4 pm, 9th Street, between Harmony and Norfolk, will be closed to upgrade overhead electrical wires. Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicle and for frontages within the closed section of the road, subject to the progress of the work.

Cushing citizens will be experiencing further impact from Winter Storm Uri in the form of an increase to their monthly electric bill. In February 2021, the weather event known as Winter Storm Uri, made its way across the state causing Oklahomans to experience unprecedented low temperatures.
