Drumright schools locked down Monday

DRUMRIGHT- Drumright schools were locked down for about 30 minutes Monday after school offi cials caught wind that a juvenile student at Drumright High School allegedly made threats toward other students.

The candidacy filing period for upcoming school board and commission seats for Creek County ended Dec. 8. The following individuals filed to be on the ballot.

Arrests

The following individuals were arrested by the Cushing Police Department from Dec. 6 to Dec. 12. Individuals named are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

No need to ask where Christmas is this year, it was obvious this past Saturday it was right here in Cushing. Downtown Cushing amassed a large crowd for the holiday festivities that happened Dec. 11 including the Christmas market, ticket drawing, tree lighting ceremony, and parade.

During the public announcements from the board portion of the Nov. 29 Payne County Commissioner regular meeting Chris Reding, commissioner for District 2 of Payne County announced a request for an audit of the sheriff ’s offi ces made by Payne County Sheriff Joe Harper.
