The following individuals were arrested by the Cushing Police Department between Sept. 13 and Sept. 26. Individuals named are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

The Payne County district boundaries was discussed recently during the Payne County commission meeting. According to Payne County District 1 Commissioner Zach Cavett, an increase in population has led to the need for boundary adjustments.

SH33 accident claims life of Cushing man

A Cushing man was killed Monday in a three-car collision in SH33 west of Cushing. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Anthony Harper, Bryan K McBrayer, 53, of Cushing was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lifenet EMS medical team.

NEVER EVER drive through a raked up pile of leaves next to the road. Leaf piles are little kid magnets and you never know when a kid is playing in one. Always use caution when driving by a pile of leaves as well, because you don’t know if a kid is going to run out of it in front of you.
