During the Monday, Aug. 16, Cushing Board of Commissioner’s meeting, former Emergency Management Director Bob Noltensmeyer was honored for his retirement after nearly a half century of service.

Cimarron Valley Historical Society re-energized

The newly-revived Cimarron Valley Historical Society met on Tuesday, Aug. 17. The society has recently re-organized with Farrel Kleckner, president; Joe Manning, vice president; Nancy Franklin, secretary; Ruth Ann Johnson, treasurer; and Calvin Wright, historian.

Reed named new Emergency Management Director

CUSHING – Longtime Cushing resident and retired Cushing Fire Department Captain Franklin Reed has been named the new Cushing Emergency Management Director for the City of Cushing. Reed replaces the retiring Bob Noltensmeyer who served the citizens of Cushing for over 50 years.
