Charles Horace Kirk, 36, was arrested by Payne County officers recently after various threats to cause harm to individuals. Kirk has a history of violence including a conviction for second degree murder in 2010.

The newly-revived Cimarron Valley Historical Society met on Tuesday, Aug. 17. The society has recently re-organized with Farrel Kleckner, president; Joe Manning, vice president; Nancy Franklin, secretary; Ruth Ann Johnson, treasurer; and Calvin Wright, historian.
