Oklahoma State Department of Health as of August 9, reports the total cases of COVID-19 in the state of Oklahoma at 486,232. This is an increase of 11,387 from last week. There are currently 15,540 active cases in the state. This is an increase of 9,548 from last week.

Bob Noltsenmeyer will be retiring after a couple decades of keeping the citizens of Cushing safe through his work in emergency management. Come August 27 he will offi cially be retiring from his position of Cushing’s Emergency Management Director.
