Horticulturist enthusiast sharpen your pruners, gardeners grab your gloves June 6 - June 12 is National Garden Week. Chairman, B.J. Roberson proclaimed National Garden Week on May 17 at the city of Cushing commission meeting.

COVID-19 Update

Oklahoma State Department of Health as of June 14 reports total case numbers at 453, 888 since testing began. There are currently 1,190 active cases reported, a decrease of 281. Total recoveries are reported at 445,373 with the death toll at 7,325 attributed to the virus.

Oak Grove teachers receives SONIC donation

Nichole Ramsey, art teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School was the recipient of a $402 combined donation as part of the Sonic Drive In Limeades for Learning project. Ramsey will use the funds to purchase art supplies for her class and students.

Partnership formed to publish Okie Charmed

Kayla Delgado and J. D. Meisner have announced a partnership between KD Studios, LLC and Cimarron Valley Communications, LLC, to publish Okie Charmed Magazine. Delgado, owner of KD Studios, LLC, fi rst published Okie Charmed, a women’s empowerment magazine, in 2017 and stopped publication in 2019.

Women’s College World Series returns to OKC

The Women’s College World Series was back in Oklahoma City for the first time since 2019, when UCLA defeated Oklahoma in a thrilling game to win the series. Those two teams return as well as Oklahoma State, Alabama, and Arizona. Who were also in that 2019 series.
