Busy interim follows busy session

The session has officially ended, and the Legislature is now in the interim, which is what we call the rest of the year when we’re not in legislative session. During this time, I frequently meet with different constituent groups to share information and hear concerns.

City of Drumright and Creek County enter agreement

On June 1 at the Creek County commission meeting an inter-cooperative agreement between Creek County and the City of Drumright was approved. “This agreement allows cities to use county equipment such as dump trucks and graders.” Said Leon Warner, District 2 Creek County commissioner.

COVID-19 Update

Oklahoma State Department of Health as of June 7 reports 1,471 active cases of COVID-19, an increase of 50 since last reported. The total cases for Oklahoma are at 453,186 with total recoveries reported at 444,399 and 7,316 deaths attributed to the virus are reported since testing began.

City asking residents too better contain their dogs

According to Cushing Police Department Deputy Chief Nick Myers, there has been a recent influx of calls concerning dogs off -leash or running at-large within city limits.
