City salts streets to mitigate ice

With temperatures in the teens and singledigit windchill factors, the drizzle that glazed the roadways Sunday night remained through Tuesday, making for dangerous driving conditions throughout Cushing. Conditions prompted Cushing Public Schools to close Monday and Tuesday.

Session Kicks Off Feb. 1

The new legislative session technically began when we gaveled in for the fi rst time on Organizational Day several weeks ago, but session kicks off in earnest on Monday, Feb. 1 at noon with a State of the State address by Gov. Stitt.
