Cushing F.D. Donates Truck to Perkins

The Payne County Commissioners Monday approved the transfer of a surplus vehicle from the Cushing Fire Department to the Perkins Fire Department. Perkins Fire Chief Joe Barta said his department is receiving a 2005 brush pumper truck from Cushing.

COVID-UPDATE

According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, as of Monday, Dec. 14, the state of Oklahoma has 35,163 active cases. There have been 239,767 total cases since testing began, with 202,532 recovered and 2,072 deaths attributed to the virus.

Agriculture Grants and Loans Now Available; Due by January 4, 2021

The next set of grants and loans are now available from the Agricultural Enhancement and Diversifi cation Program, with applications due January 4, 2021. This program helps fund qualifi ed, agriculturerelated projects across the state with zero percent interest loans and grants.

Paint Days

Tree Lighting brightens Centennial Park

Winter Wonderland was a beautiful place and located in the Centennial Park in the Broadway District. This is where the Sixth annual Christmas Tree lighting occurred.

2020 Christmas Parade

The Grand River Dam Authority lit up their lake patrol boat once again this year. The Cushing American Legion Post 108 led the parade down Broadway. LD’s Wrecker Service of Chandler brought up their stylish train.
