A tragic event happened on July 5, 2020. A body was found in Liberty Pond, at Memorial Park, in Cushing. The individual was later identified by the Cushing Police Department as Tonya Carter, 44. She was well known by our community but even more so by her fiancé Brian Williams.

County Commission affirms Woodward and interim Sheriff

The Payne County Commissioners Tuesday affi rmed that Sheriff Kevin Woodward still lives in Payne County, and will remain interim Sheriff until his term ends in January.

PEO offers scholarships through private college
