Drumright man facing murder charges after 2019 Thanksgiving crash

The Drumright man accused of causing a double-fatality accident the day before Thanksgiving, 2019, will face two counts of first degree murder on the order of Payne County District Judge Katherine Thomas. Tommy Leroy McClendon, 24, was bound over for trial during a preliminary hearing last week.

McGuire homicide suspects due in court

Troy Wayne Shadowen Jr., 23, and Bridgett Nicole Barton, 28, both of Stillwater are scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing today, Wednesday, June 17, before Judge Katherine Thomas. Both are charged with first-degree murder in the Feb. 17 death of Patrick McGuire, 40, in Cushing.

The Cushing Main Street Farmer’s Market will will be open every Thursday, at the south end of the Atwood’s parking lot at 10 a.m. and will close when goods are sold out. Expect fresh tomatoes and other winter products for the next several weeks. The market will remain open until late September.
