Perkins man sent to rehab before sentencing

STILLWATER -- A Perkins man, who admitted he maintained a house where drugs were kept in 2023, 2024 and 2025, has been released from the Payne County Jail where he was held on $100,000 bail to go into a residential drug treatment program pending his sentencing on Oct. 10.

CUSHING — If you strolled through Cushing Memorial Park recently you may have noticed a significant change to one of the flower beds decorating the pathways — this transition is thanks to a 10-year-old named Jaxon Bell and a generous team of local volunteers and donating businesses.
