County revises its indigent burial program

STILLWATER - The Payne County Board of Commissioners Monday approved a revised Payne County indigent cremation assistance procedure.“In the last week we've had three indigent burials that the county's taxpayers are paying for,” District 1 Commissioner Zach Cavett said.

Cushing Middle School was recently gifted $1,000 to fund a student hygiene station for those in need of supplies while at school. These stations will include staples like feminine hygiene products, deodorants, and other personal items that can be taken discreetly by students, as needed.
