Gay Lynn Hall was born April 3, 1949, to Marlin Driggs and Ollie (Boles) Ridenour in Pampa, Texas. She departed this life on May 27, 2023, at the age of 74 years. Gay Lynn moved to Cushing as a child and was raised there.

Homer E. Bair

On May 19, 2023, Homer Eugene Bair joined his wife and family at the great banquet table prepared by our Lord Jesus Christ. He lived a rich 96 years and was not one to miss a good meal.

Mary June Retherford

Mary June Retherford of Tulsa, born June 14, 1931 died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the age of 91. The daughter of Everett and Ruth Sager of Cushing, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Retherford, brother Melvin Sager and sisters Everonie and Nancy.

Sherryl Diane Vineyard

Sherryl Diane Vineyard passed from this life on May 17, 2023, surrounded by family. Her care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma. Sherryl was born on July 18, 1957, to Roylee and Mary E (McDaniels) Williams in Joplin, Missouri.

Billy Jack Moody

Born in Cushing Oklahoma on February 12,1972 and passed away on March 30, 2023. He was the son of Ronny Moody of Cushing, Oklahoma and Charlotte Lopez (Samuels) of Chico, California. He is survived by Ronny and Debbie Moody, and Charlotte Lopez (Samuels).

Robert D Dooley

Robert D Dooley fell asleep in death after a short battle with cancer. Robert was born in Yale, OK on December 7th, 1946. He spent his early years in Cushing, OK and graduated from Cushing High School in 1965. In 1966 he was drafted into the Army.

Gordon Devon Chipukites

“It hasn’t been a short life. It’s been long and it’s been good.” Gordon Devon Chipukites, better known as “Chip” passed away in the early morning hours of May 7, 2023, with family at his side. Chip was born November 7, 1942, in Elyria, Ohio to the late Reta Pigman and John Chipukites.

Wallace ‘Emery’ Retherford

Emery Retherford, 88, lifelong Cushing resident, died on May 8, 2023, at his home here in Cushing. Services will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer here in Cushing with Pastor Ron Rafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Lotie “Gary” Schlegel

Lotie “Gary” Schlegel, 80, passed away May 11, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home in Edmond OK. Gary was born December 11, 1942 in Cushing to Lotie B Schlegel and Dortha Leyerly Schlegel. He graduated from Cushing High School with the Class of 1960.
