It's been several months since I last provided an update on infrastructure projects in Payne and Logan Counties, and I wanted to be sure to keep you in the loop about upgrades to roads and bridges that you travel regularly.

Every year on or around Thanksgiving someone will inevitably ask me, “what are you thankful for this year Allie?” My answer is usually the same, I’m thankful for my family and for my friends and for having a wonderful husband who is kind and patient even when I’m not… and I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to spread love and kindness everywhere I go. This past Sunday when my family met for Thanksgiving dinner my answer was different, although I haven’t stopped being thankful for everything else too.

557-7304 I was honored to receive a plaque recently from the Oklahoma State Troopers Association in recognition of my continued support of our Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers. This award, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol overall, means so much to me because of an officer I knew when I was growing up.

I have quit watching the news for the most part. It makes me sick to my stomach.
