Isn’t it fun to have so much going on in the Broadway District –and in the Cushing Community?!? Geodofredo’s and Dunkin Theatre are still going strong, and we are grateful. Actually a friend ‘s 102 Birthday Party was recently scheduled there – rooms for various functions.

Inheriting a Legacy of Lies

Sideways glances and no comment. ‘There’s no story here’ because there’s no scandal. Being told over and over ‘we have nothing to hide’ as if my only job is to unearth dirty laundry. It is my job to pull skeletons from the closet, yes, but that is not my goal.

Senate Review

We’re now headed into the final month of the 2022 legislative session. April 28 marked the last day for the Senate to vote on bills that originated in the House, and for them to vote on measures that were sent over from our chamber.

Capitol Visitors

This week was our deadline to pass Senate Bills through House committees, but when we weren't in committee meetings, I was able to meet with numerous guests from around the state as well as my own House District 33. On Monday, I enjoyed visiting with farmers and ranchers from across Oklahoma.

Senate Review

This past week, the Senate shifted it’s attention to committee work on bills that were sent to us by the House of Representatives. The deadline for those committee votes is April 14. In addition to committee meetings, as always, we had several other events taking place at the Capitol as well.
