CUSHING — The Cushing Tiger baseball squad is 14-12 on the season. More often than not, this team will burn your house to the ground, but sometimes, they forget to bring the matches.

Lady Tigers sweep district tournament

CUSHING — The Cushing Lady Tiger slowpitch team has been hammering on ranked teams all season, so walking into districts as a top-10 team in Class 5A wasn’t a fluke. What happened next wasn’t either.

Central Tech Students Earn Top Honors at SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference

DRUMRIGHT — Students from Central Tech’s Drumright and Sapulpa campuses delivered an outstanding showing at the SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference, held April 19–21 in Tulsa, Okla., earning an impressive total of gold, silver, and bronze medals across 17 team and individual competitions.
The Cushing Lady Tigers are your district champs after hammering Sperry 8-0, then sweeping Skiatook, 4-0, 14-12 last Monday. The ladies are ranked 10th in Class 5A and are in Pryor at the district tournament today, Wednesday, April 29. They will play No. 7 Bethel at 1:15.

Lady Tigers take 6A powerhouse Bixby to extra innings

CUSHING — By Thursday evening, the 10th-ranked Cushing Lady Tigers had been through it.Monday opened the week with a rough 5-11 loss to Hominy, a scrappy 15th-ranked 3A program. Monday also brought a mood-lifter, a 15-5 thrashing of 19th-ranked 4A Chelsea that felt good for a day.

No. 9 Lady Tigers take 4th at Cimarron Trails

PERKINS — Cushing’s girls golf team added another result to its season on April 7, finishing fourth at the Perkins-Tryon tournament held at Cimarron Trails Golf Course.The Lady Tigers, currently ranked ninth in Class 4A, were led by Addisyn Fields, who placed 17th with a round of 94.
