SKIATOOK — It was a nice night in Skiatook, not too hot, no wind and the light scent of the nearby lake. Not sure if all that had anything to do with it, but the Cushing Tigers needed nearly an entire quarter to remember who they were.

CHS Cheer heads to state for first time since 2015 CUSHING — The Cushing High School cheer team is headed to the state competition for the first time in nearly a decade.

Lady Tornadoes Hammer Strother and Shidler

The Drumright Lady Tornadoes fastpitch softball team coached by Leslie Robinson and Alyssa Fuxa got two good wins over Strother and Shidler.They beat Strother 7-1 and Shidler 10-2.There was a little controversy at Strother a month ago. It was a 2-2 tie, and a base running rule that hurt us happened.

Tigers open conference play Friday

CUSHING — Some Friday nights feel louder than others. The lights hum the same, the band warms up the same, but the math changes. This Friday is one of those nights.

Drumright plows Canton 52-12

Ward, Wright, McCormick, and Blackburn Shine The Drumright Tornadoes fought back after losses to three of the top 10 teams in B-1. We won 52 - 12 on homecoming night.On the first offensive play of the game, Garrett Wright threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to Cordae McCormick who flew down the field.

Dawgs destroy Ringwood 50-20

RINGWOOD — Yale picked a good night to look like itself. The Bulldogs traveled halfway across the continent to Ringwood, then stacked up 464 yards of offense, set off two big-play sticks of dynamite, and put Ringwood away 50–20 Friday in a win that felt as decisive as the score says it was.
