CUSHING — The Cushing Lady Tiger slowpitch softball team has charged through the first five games of their schedule and in their wake, they’ve left a trail of destruction along with a message that the Cushing Lady Tigers are back in business.

CUSHING — The Cushing Lady Tigers had a long season, winning just 2 of 27 games, but it’s how they finished that has head coach Mason Baade looking forward to a much better season next year.“It was another tough season for us this year,” he said. “We did end the season on a competitive note though.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Six Cushing wrestlers reached the championship rounds of the OSSAA State High School Wrestling Tournament, at Jim Norrick Arena on the state fair grounds in Oklahoma City last weekend and a few made their way to the podium.

Lady Bulldog basketball showing promise for next season

RIPLEY - Under the guidance and tutelage of head coach Nathan Folger, the Yale Lady Bulldogs went toe-totoe with some of the toughest teams in Class A and B girls basketball this season. They ended with a record of 7-15 and were runners up at the stacked Olive Festival.
The Cushing Lady Tigers Powerlifting team competed in regionals on Monday, Feb. 25 in Fairview. They were named overall 2025 North Region Team Champions. Pictured are the high school athletes who placed and qualified for state in their weight classes — Matti Terrell earned 2nd, Zoie Ledgerwood earned 1st, Avalee Lidberg earned 4th, Faith Kessler earned 2nd, Averi Harper earned 2nd, and Avery Dooley earned 1st.

Yale basketball season ends

PORTER — For a young team, the Yale Bulldogs had an impressive run for the 2425 season, finishing 11-13, and reaching the regional tournament.
The powerlifting team for Yale High School recently attended the 8-Man State Powerlifting Meet and finished as the State Runners-up. Braiden Hodgett and Lucas Reece were individual champions in their weight classes while Logan Britton placed 2nd, Tanner Moore and Hunter Anson took 3rd, and Cody Whittington finished 6th.
