Lady Tigers fall to scrappy Bristow team

CUSHING - Numbers don’t lie, but sometimes they can be misleading. Such is the case with the score of the Cushing/Bristow girls basketball game during homecoming on Friday. The Bristow Lady Pirates came away with a 61-41 win over the Lady Tigers of Cushing.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Wes Nickell, 11, of Cushing, won the 2024 State Wrestling title this past weekend at Jim Norick Arena, or as its better known “The Big House” in Oklahoma City. Wrestling in Division 3 (10 and under) at 73lbs, Nickell had to battle to take home his third state title.

CUSHING - After a disappointing performance in the Cushing Tournament a couple weeks ago, the Cushing Tiger grapplers dominated the No. 3 team in 3A, the Pawnee Black Bears, defeating them 56-10.

Lady Tigers get a win in Ft. Gibson

CUSHING - The Cushing Lady Tiger basketball team traveled to the Ft. Gibson Tournament last week and came away with their second win of the season, soundly defeating the Nathan Hale Lady Rangers, 58-29. “We saw some good things from some of our players,” said Head Coach Mason Bade.
