Lady Tigers play Bristow at home Friday

The Cushing Lady Tigers played their final home game of the season Friday when they hosted the 18-4 Kiefer Lady Trojans and lost 29-66. The Kiefer girls made it clear why they are ranked fifth in Class 3A with a fast-paced offense effective perimeter shooting and a relentless defense.

Lady Tigers lose to Mannford

The Lady Tigers hit a buzz saw last week when they faced the 10th-ranked, 18-1 Mannford Lady Pirates, in Cushing. From the tip, the Lady Pirates dominated Cushing, utilizing their hounding defense and volatile scoring to claim the 72-18 win.

Tigers lose to Mannford in OT, defeat Sperry

On Monday, the Cushing Tiger boys basketball team handily defeated the Sperry Pirates, 65-35, to move their record to 14-6, but on the Friday prior, they lost an overtime see-saw battle to the Mannford Pirates. The game started out close and remained close in its entirety.

Lady Tigers fall to Cleveland, Bristow last week

The Cushing Lady Tigers had two girls in double digit scoring last Thursday in their 43-53 loss to the Cleveland Lady Tigers. In the first period, shots would simply not fall for the girls. It wasn’t until there were about four minutes remaining before Kinsley Williams got a three pointer to drop.
