Once Tiger quarterback Blaze Berlowitz figured out the wind Friday, he threw lights-out, connecting 23 passes on 32 attempts for a total of 405 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 42-point shutout of the Wagoner Bulldogs.

Tigers demolish Wardogs to open district play

The Cushing Tigers defeated the Miami Wardogs 54-13 on Friday, with a dominant showing on both sides of the ball. Despite slight early struggles, the Tiger offense got going and never looked back, scoing 54 points by the third quarter.

The Cushing Tigers crossed the Cimarron River into Perkins Demon territory and improved their record to 2-0 with a 43-27 win over Perkins-Tryon. The contest came with a unique set of challenges as game officials tossed an inordinate amount of penalty flags.
