Lady Tigers at top of Class 5A slow pitch

The Cushing Lady Tiger slow pitch softball team has been busy this month chalking up enough wins to climb to the top in Oklahoma Class 5A. The Lady Tigers, under the leadership of Head Coach Nikki York are currently ranked #1 by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.

The Cushing Lady Tiger slow pitch softball team has opened its season with four wins and zero losses. The girls were on their way to winning the North Rock Creek Classic last Thursday, battling their way to the championship game, which then was cancelled due to the weather.

Athletes of the Week

Jake Horn scored three runs and got a hit against Prague and scored a run against Tecumseh last week. Against Harrah, Kerik Brown took a first pitch and crushed a grand-slam home run over the center field wall to lead the undefeated Lady Tigers to a 15-9 win.
