The Cushing Tiger football team manhandled Tecumseh Friday, in front of a near-capacity homecoming crowd, outscoring the Savages 49-6 and taking their record to 5-1. “It’s good to get the win,” said Tiger head coach Rusty Morgan.

Catcher Madison Alexander hit a double in the first inning and drove in a run to give Cushing the spark to beat Bixby. Morgan Franklin singled to right field, and eventually scored the winning run to beat Bixby and advance to regionals.

Tigers take down Comets, advance to 4-1

The Cushing Tigers advanced their record to 4-1 last Thursday with a 53-16 blowout win over the Classen SAS Comets.

Little space was left for football fans except standing room along the chainlink on both sides of Odell field Friday as the 3-0 Tuttle Tigers came to town to face the 3-0 Cushing Tigers. The top two teams in class 4A football did not disappoint.
