Lady Tigers lose halftime lead and fall to Berryhill

On the road at Berryhill Friday, the Cushing Lady Tigers were up by one point at halftime — Cushing Head Coach Jake Phillips had given his girls a game plan and they were executing it — so far. “Our plan through the first half was to attack the paint and let that open our outside game,” he said.

Tigers stunned by Elk City, out in first round

The Cushing Tigers’ football season came to an unexpected end Friday when the Elk City Elks came to town and threw a wrench into Cushing’s scoring machine, defeating the Tigers, 21-14. By the numbers, Cushing’s passing game was on point with quarterback Blaze Berlowitz throwing for 291 yards.
