Tigers win sixth straight in storm delay

CUSHING — The weathermen tried to cancel football Friday and the skies over O’Dell Field did their best to call it off Thursday, but the Cushing Tigers had fans, plans — and a district title run to protect.

Lady Tigers finish 17th, Evans places top 100

SHAWNEE — The Cushing High School girls cross country team finished 17th in the Class 4A State Championships, totaling 1:10:07 with an average pace of 14:02 and a spread of 1:53.7.Sophomore Harli York led the Lady Tigers with a 37th-place finish in 12:56.3 at 6:30.1 per mile.

Evans qualifies as soloist for state cross country

OKLAHOMA CITY — Last Thursday at Heritage Hall, Cushing sophomore Kamden Evans earned his solo ticket to the OSSAA Class 4A State Cross-Country Championships.Evans placed 12th overall in the regional field with a time of 17 minutes, 9 seconds, earning an individual berth to state.

Lady Tiger X-C qualifies for state

OKLAHOMA CITY —The Cushing Lady Tigers are headed to state.Last Saturday, at Heritage Hall, the Cushing Lady Tiger cross country team laced up and ran their way into the history books, finishing sixth overall in the Class 4A regional meet and punching their ticket to the OSSAA State Championships.
