DRUMRIGHT - Each year the members of the Drumright Fire Department attend and complete the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Oklahoma City, this year was no different.

Cause unknown in double fatality crash

STILLWATER — Two Perkins residents are dead following a threevehicle crash last Tuesday on US-177 at 68th St. about five miles south of Stillwater around 6 a.m. according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Joshua Byrd with the traffic homicide unit.

The 18th Biennial Cushing Community Art Show

CUSHING — A variety of artwork by area artists will be on display at the 18th Biennial Cushing Community Art Show at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center. The show opened on Thursday, August 29 and will run through Friday, September 13.

Harmony Substation delayed

CUSHING - A long anticipated project that was expected to be up and running in July had an unexpected issue resulting in a delayed start.On Tuesday, Sept. 10 Interim City Manager Derek Griffith confirmed the Harmony Substation was not active.

County okays road closure for Glencoe 5K

STILLWATER - The Payne County Board of Commissioners Monday approved a road closure request for the Seventh Annual Panther Prowl 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Glencoe.The Commissioners approved the road closing on Lone Chimney Road from State Highway 108 to Bethel Road from 6:55 a.m.
