Election pay increased

OKLAHOMA CITY – A bill passed in 2023 to increase precinct official pay went into effect July 1 – doubling the pay precinct officials receive for a workday. State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said he is confident the increase in pay will support recruitment efforts across the state.

Commission okays new airport rules

CUSHING -- The Cushing City Commission voted in a split vote Monday to approve a set of regulations at the airport intended to address Federal Aviation Administration concerns that the facility is not in compliance with federal regulations.

OKLAHOMA CITY - A mandate to convert US Highway 412 to a full-grown Interstate Highway has spurred planning activity in the departments of Transportation of Oklahoma and Arkansas.The mandate was part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, signed in 2021.

County okays $100,000 ARPA funding for Saville Center

STILLWATER — The Payne County Board of Commissioners Monday approved using $100,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the Saville Center of Stillwater.Heather Houle, Executive Director of the Saville Center, wrote in a letter to the Commissioners the reasoning for their funding request.
