District agreement with The HUB Network

CUSHING - An agreement between Cushing Public Schools and The HUB Network which will allow for the streaming of district football games was recently approved during the most recent regular meeting of the Board of Education members last Tuesday on August 8.

Nonprofit and Local Theatre Reignite Benefit Concert for Aug. 11

CUSHING - United Way of Payne County (UWPC) and The Dunkin Theatre reunite to bring back the Rockin’ for United Way Benefit Concert in Cushing on Friday, Aug. 11. One-man band, Hosty, is scheduled to perform at The Dunkin Theatre, with Blue Dirt Project as the show opener. Doors open at 7 p.m.

SHAMROCK — Shamrock Volunteer Rural Fire Department is planning to host a Splash and Bash event this Saturday on Aug. 12 starting at 12 p.m. The event will be taking place at the fire department, 103 5th St, and will have lots of end-of-summer fun.

Sapulpa Man killed in motorcycle wreck

SAPULPA — On Tuesday, Aug. 1, a fatality collision occurred on 81st St. South and 157th West Avenue about 6 miles northwest of Sapulpa. According to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Elijah Presley, Dillon Gibson, 30, of Sapulpa, was driving a Harley Davidson on 81st St.
