Adult Reading Challenge now available

YALE — Those dedicated to the Yale Public Library are now offering a new way to get people aged 16 and older engaged in the joy of reading. Library members began an adult reading challenge last week, according to Library Director Miranda Brown.

ATV wreck leaves two in critical condition

RIPLEY - On Sunday, Aug. 6, at around 6 p.m., an ATV crash occurred on River Rd just north of Ripley. According to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Steve Burrows, Mike Marshall, 66, of Stratford TX, was driving a Hisun ATV westbound on River Rd.

Do or Dye Color Fun Run

CUSHING - On Saturday, Aug. 19 the colors will fly during the Cushing Geographic Club’s annual Do or Dye Color Fun Run, with participants taking their starting positions at 8 a.m.
