Refinery project moving forward

HOUSTON — Houston, Texas based engineering firm, KBR (NYSE: KBR), announced last week that it had been awarded a feasibility study contract by Southern Rock Energy Partners to support the development of a first-of-its-kind refinery proposed for Cushing, Oklahoma.
The Cushing Community Theatre holds an early rehearsal in preparation of the upcoming play “Southern Fried Funeral” which will be playing Sept. 29-30, Oct. 1, and Oct. 8-10. Rogers not seeking reelection

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Cody Rogers, R-Tulsa, announced Monday that he would not be seeking reelection to the Oklahoma Senate. Rogers was elected to the state’s upper chamber in 2020 and his current term is set to end in 2024.

SAPULPA - The Creek County Board of Commissioners Monday appointed Rick Engleman as the new County Treasurer, who replaces Don Engle, who recently passed away. “Rick Engleman is currently the chairman of our excise board.,” said District 2 Commissioner Leon Warner.
