CUSHING - On Monday, August 14, Cushing Firefighters responded to a report of smoke inside a house on the 1100 block of East Fourth St., according to Fire Chief Dalton Novotny. The alarm was reported to have sounded at approximately 10:24 p.m. — department members were on scene within five minutes.

CUSHING - A severe, fast-moving storm tore through Cushing late Sunday night, leaving in its wake downed trees, damaged roofs and a power distribution system in disarray.
