CUSHING - The Cushing High School Dance Team attended UDA Camp June 5-8, 2023, at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel. While at camp, the dancers learned numerous new material, took classes with master dancers, and took part in several dance competitions to enhance their performances in the future.

A public hearing was held in conjunction with the special meeting for the City of Cushing governing entities on June 12. According to a staff member, there was no public comment during the meeting.

Bicycle Rodeo This Weekend

CUSHING - Cushing Police Department has teamed up with the Cushing Public Library for the Brandon Hise Memorial Bicycle Rodeo. Department staff made the announcement in mid-May that the library would be accepting new bikes for the event until June 9.

A Summer of Fun Kicks Off at Cushing Public Library

CUSHING - School is finally out which means summer reading opportunities have begun. Cushing Public Library is now hosting a variety of activities during the summer for all ages including the “Figure It Out at Your Library” themed summer reading program which kicked off at the first of June.

McPHERSON, KAN. - McPherson College, a four-year private college located in central Kansas, has announced its spring 2023 Honor Roll and Honorable Mention. Students must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.55 or higher during the last term to qualify for the honor roll.

CUSHING – Hillcrest Hospital Cushing welcomes Jonathan Schell as the newly appointed chief executive officer (CEO) at the facility providing advanced emergency and medical services to the Cushing community. Schell’s role is effective June 5, 2023.
