Waterfowl Hunting Season Opens

The second half of Oklahoma’s hunting season for ducks, mergansers and coots opened Saturday, Dec. 3, in Zones 1 and 2, which include all of the state except for the Panhandle.

Collier found not guilty

On Monday, Dec. 5, Payne County District Court found a Cushing man not guilty of firstdegree manslaughter in a bench trial. Christopher Collier, 38, was accused of driving under the influence of drugs when he struck and killed Curtis Sams, 53, in September 2020.
