Funeral services for Drumright resident, Brenda Fulkerson, were held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 in the Drumright River of Life Christian Center. Brenda Jean was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on November 1, 1944 to the late William Lawrence Parson & Emma Jane (Crisswell) Parson. She passed from this life in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on October 19, 2020 at the age of 75 years, 11 months, & 18 days. Brenda was delivered by Dr. Starr which made her a “Starr Brand Baby”. She was raised & educated in Drumright and on August 6, 1960 she married Orville Pat Fulkerson in Drumright. After marriage, they lived in Muskogee & Enid while Pat attended college. They made their home in several other states and cities for several years while Pat was working in construction. In 1976, with 2 young sons in tow, they fi nally returned to Drumright where they have remained. Brenda had worked for several years as a beautician & had taught Cosmetology at Central Vo-Tech. For the past several years she had been the Title 9 Advocate / Educator for the Drumright Public School System until her retirement in 2018. Brenda enjoyed many things such as gardening, planting fl owers, and being outdoors. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, a Charter Member of the Drumright Human Needs Council, and a longtime, active member of the Drumright River of Life Christian Center; serving in numerous capacities over the years. She loved her church and her faith was strong. But nothing was more precious to her than spending time with those she loved most, especially her grandchildren. Nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a SISTER: Iva Mae Teter Ray; & a Niece & Nephew: Cindi Teter & Randy Teter.

Her remaining family includes her loving HUSBAND: Pat Fulkerson of Drumright; 2 SONS: Greg Fulkerson & wife Cheryl of Drumright – Doug Fulkerson & wife Ashley of Cushing; GRANDCHILDREN: Levi & Adie – Will, Emma & Ella; GREAT GRANDSON: Axl; AUNT: Margaret Cross of Drumright; UNCLE: James Moon of Cushing; 4 NEPHEWS & their families: Billy Don Teter & Terry Teter, both of Drumright – Rodney Teter & Trey Ray, both of Muskogee; plus NUMEROUS: Cousins - Other relatives – and Friends.
