Candy Slack, a longtime Perkins resident passed away on Monday, November 9th, at her home in Perkins at the age of 70. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2 PM at Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, 505 N Euchee Valley Rd, Cushing, Oklahoma. The service will be ministered by David and Shirley Swaff ord. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Candy was born on February 14, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Richard and Leaurva (Mayse) Brewer. She grew up in the Oklahoma City area where she attended school graduating from Grant High School.

Candy was a woman of faith; she loved the Lord. Throughout her life, she counseled women in their times of need. Candy was a member of the Living Water Fellowship. She married George Slack on September 5, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had just celebrated their 30-year wedding anniversary. They made their home in Perkins, OK. Candy enjoyed yard work, jewelry, eating a good steak, spending time with family, and shopping on QVC. She traveled with her husband on the pipeline for a number of years.

Candy is survived by her husband, George Slack. Daughter Mysti and Husband Thad Edwards of Harrah, OK and son Lance and Wife Terri Swaff ord of Cushing, OK. Sister Michelle and husband Glenn Gresham of California. Grandchildren Desiree Stevens, Caleb Swaff ord, and Jacob Swafford, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Leaurva Brewer, Son Shane Swaff ord, Granddaughter Cierra Swaff ord, Sister Dixie Marshall, and Jack Swaff ord.
