Dale E Cheatum, 88, passed away March 9, 2020, at his home is Cushing. Dale, one of nine siblings, was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Kingman Kansas, to parents Frances and Catheryn Cheatum.
Frances moved his family to Syracuse, Kansas, on their farm, while Dale finished school and met his wife of 50 years, Effie Cheatum (Lewis).
A self-proclaimed Jackof-all-trades and master of none, Dale was definitely a man of many talents. He was a farmer, lineman, salesman, Air Force Veteran, retiree from Williams Pipeline Company, and owner of Red Bud Corner Farm in Cushing, just to name a few.
He enjoyed fishing, dancing, hunting and bowling. He never met a stranger and always had a good story.
Dale was preceded in death by his former wife Effie R. (Lewis) Cheatum, son-in-law Dan Hinkle, great grandson Nathaniel Terrell, his parents and siblings.
He is survived by a son Ken Cheatum, daughter Rhonda Hinkle, son Larry and wife Kim Cheatum, daughter Julie Barber, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
