Memorial services for Drumright resident, Helen Bruce, were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Rev. Don Tabberer River of the Drumright First United Methodist Church offi ciated. Interment of her cremains followed in Euchee Valley Memorial Park. Helen was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on March 24, 1933 to the late Bernard VanCleave & Mable (Williams) VanCleave. She passed from this life in Bristow, Oklahoma on November 1, 2020 at the age of 87 years, 7 months, & 8 days. Helen was raised and educated in Vinita. She married Charles Ray Bruce in Cheyenne, Wyoming on January 1, 1951 & they made their home in Mannford for several years. Helen had worked as a bank teller in Mannford for many years. She had also worked as an offi ce clerk for Flintco in Tulsa. She and her husband moved to Drumright in 1965 where they have remained. Helen enjoyed boating on the lake and spending time with her Dachshunds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers-In-Law: Tommy Bruce – Joe Bruce – Harry Oberbeck; & 2 Nephews: Tommy & William Oberbeck.

Her remaining family includes her loving HUSBAND: Charlie Bruce of the home; Sisters-In-Law: Loretta Bruce of Oak Grove – Robbie Nell Oberbeck of Drumright – Jerry Bruce of Edmond; Nieces & Nephews: Brenda & Robbie Dorsey of Oak Grove – Shane & Andrea Bruce of Oak Grove – Ronnie & Kim Bruce of Prue – Robin Stinchcomb of Colorado – Amy & Marty Andersen of Deer Creek; plus Several other relatives – and friends.
