James R. “Rick” Cole, II – 58, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed from this life on December 16, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. Rick was born in Cushing, Oklahoma to James Richard Cole and Elizabeth Ann (Cornett) Cole.

After graduating from Cushing High School, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Rick worked as a Coordinator of Maintenance for a large midstream pipeline company for over 33 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fi shing, but loved watching his son wrestle over the years. In the later years, he loved spending time with his family and friends at Lake Eufaula. His quick wit was a delight to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Elizabeth A. Cole. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 27 years Carolyn Diane (Gilstrap) Cole; son James Tanner Cole of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters Leslie (Cole) Jackson and husband George of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Jane Rae Cole of Phoenix, AZ; nephews George Cole Jackson and wife Audrey of Houston, Texas and James Phillip Jackson of Corpus Christi, Texas and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held on December 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Cushing, Oklahoma.
