Jennie Lee Lair, a former longtime resident, now of Morganfi eld, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Henderson, Kentucky at the age of 89 years.
The daughter of the late Lynn Boyd Dunn and Ivie Margaret Keeling Dunn, Jennie was born on April 1, 1931 in Chandler, Oklahoma. She was raised and educated in the Depew, Oklahoma area, graduating from Depew High School.
She was united in marriage to Clyde Matherly and to this union one daughter, Shirley was born. She later married Marion Casey Lair and they had two sons, Ronald and Darrell.
Jennie was a member of the First Baptist Church; a member of the Eastern Star (Rainbows), and a member of the hospital auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by one daughter Shirley Watkins of Morganfi eld, Kentucky; one son Ronald Lair and his wife Lydia of Cushing, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Marion Casey Lair and one son Darrell Lair, and one brother Homer LeRoy Dunn.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bristow Cemetery with Pastor Michael Martin offi ciating.
