Joydell Laverne Cargill, a former Cushing resident now of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 15, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
The daughter of the late Forrest Leroy Earlabaugh and Sylvia Rich Earlabaugh, Joydell was born on April 13, 1928 in Prague, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in Prague, Meeker and Cushing. She was a graduate of Cushing High School with the class of 1944.
She was united in marriage to C.W. Cargill on July 5, 1947 in Pawnee and to this union two sons, Stephen and Robert were born. C.W. preceded her in death on April 16, 2007.
Joydell had worked several different places in Cushing including real estate, Bray Lines, Eldon Cates Insurance and retiring from Black Gold in June of 1986.
She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church; she enjoyed crocheting, watching ball games of all kind and she loved doing Missionary work. Her first Missionary trip was in August of 1986 and her lasts trip was in 2005, returning to Mexico.
She is survived by her children, Stephen Cargill and his wife Becky of Bixby and Robert Cargill and his wife Debbie of Cushing; one brother Forrest Lewis “Louie” Earlabaugh and his wife Sue of Huntington Beach, CA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law Mary Lou Cargill.
Funeral services are planned for Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Nacci, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Harrell Cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, easts of the Funeral Home.uibus min reriam ipiet et volupta
