Sharon Elaine Franklin, 69, passed away on December 8, 2020 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
A Wake will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 for family and services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Sac & Fox Community Building, Stroud, Oklahoma with Brother Marvin Thurman offi ciating. Burial will follow at the Sac & Fox Cemetery. Arrangements re entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Sharon was born on January 8, 1951 to Edward Sr. and Lorena (McClellan) Franklin. Her early school years were spent at Happy Valley Elementary in Cushing later graduating from Earlsboro High School in 1969. She attended Okmulgee State Tech and graduated with a Culinary Arts Degree. Sharon was the very fi rst Sac & Fox Princess.
Although Sharon had no children of her own, she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews along with their children.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lorena Franklin; two sisters, Karen Juneau and Julia Groves; three brothers, Julian, Edward Jr. and Geary; one niece, LaDawna Pennock; two nephews, Shawn Franklin and Leonard Groves.
She is survived by two sisters, Carol (Franklin) Littlehead and husband Cecil of Cushing, OK and Marilyn Thurman of Shawnee, OK; two brothers, Marvin and George Thurman of Shawnee, OK; nephews, Brian Franklin Sr. and wife Marie, Randy Tiger, Kevin and Christopher (Scotty) Littlehead all of Cushing, Martin Franklin of OKC, Holland Groves and Arthur Franklin; nieces, Cheryl “Genie” Tiger, LaRita Franklin, Sharilyn Littlehead, Stacy and Tracy Juneau, Marlene Groves, Marilyn Franklin and Jeannie (Jitney) Camp.
