Wilbert “Bill” Exton, lifelong Cushing resident, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years.
The son of the late Harry Exton and Mary Fones Exton, Bill was born on May 8, 1925 in Cushing, Oklahoma where he was raised and educated.
He was a hard worker and over the years working in the roofi ng business as well as Kerr McGee Refi nery. He retired from the Cushing Public School system where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed fi shing, hunting, raising cattle, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His grandchildren remember him as probably the best fi sherman in this area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three children, Carl and Charles Exton and Cheryl Taber; three brothers, Joe Exton, Kenneth Exton and John Exton and two sisters, Violet Exton and Rosi Matlock.
He is survived by two daughters-in-law, Cathy Exton and Robin Exton both of Cushing; one son-in-law, Mark Taber of Cushing; several grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
