Olin Howard Wright, 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2020 from 2-6pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10:30 am at Avery Cemetery in Cushing, Oklahoma. Family is requesting everyone who attends to please have masks and social distance. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Rick Wright, Brandon Wright, Jarod Wright, Noel Wright, Matt Frazier and Charles Thomas

Mildred “Deloris” Whelchel went home to be with ourLord and Savior on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at 9:18 a.m. She was born Mildred Deloris Noltensmeyer on March 31, 1929, in Cushing, Oklahoma. Deloris was the salutatorian of her senior class at Cushing High School in May 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Noltensmeyer of Hope, Missouri,and Mary Drake Noltensmeyer of Cushing, Oklahoma; her sister, Dorothy Noltensmeyer Brown of Cushing, Oklahoma; her fi rst husband G. Daniel Green of Hartford, Arkansas; and her second husband O. Lester Whelchel of Midland, Arkansas.

Robert E. Pierson • March 16, 1950 - August 26, 2020

Robert E Pierson was born on March 16, 1950 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Isom & Evelyn (Owens) Pierson. He was raised in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where he attended Booker T. Washington school, and graduated from Sapulpa High School. While there, he played football as a defensive line man. He became well known after he knocked down the entire back fi eld. Robert attended Snowden Chapel C.M.E Church in Sapulpa during his youth. He enlisted in US Marine Corp where he served his country proudly for 6 years. During that time, he fought with dignity and honor in the Vietnam War, and was honored with two Purple Hearts for the injuries he sustained.
